इस पूजा के महत्व
अखण्ड रामायण करने कराने का अमोघ फल होता है । बशर्ते पाठ ठीक से और शुद्धता से किया जाय । जैसा श्रीरामचरितमानस में लिखा गया है बिल्कुल वैसा ही पढ़ना चाहिए । अपने मन से कुछ जोड़ना या घटाना नहीं चाहिए । यहाँ तक रामा, सियारामा आदि भी नहीं । पाठ बहुत ही स्पष्ट और शुद्ध होना चाहिए। प्रेम व भक्ति भाव से सीधा-सीधा पढ़ना चाहिए। ऐसा करने से अवश्य ही अभीष्ट फल प्राप्त होता है। आप अखण्ड रामायण पाठ पुण्य लाभ के लिए, कुशल-मंगल अथवा अन्य किसी कामना की सिद्धि के लिए कर सकते हैं। जीवन की मंगल कामना के लिए किया जाने वाला यह पाठ अत्यंत ही शुभ फलदायक है। जीवन की किसी भी शुभ शुरुआत के लिए, वैवाहिक वर्षगांठ, आपके जन्मदिन, नवरात्रो में या कभी भी अच्छे दिन और घर में सुख शांति और लक्ष्मी की प्राप्ति के लिए आप अखंड रामायण का पाठ करवा सकते हैं। अखण्ड रामायण पाठ कराने के लिए किसी योग्य व्राह्मण को लाना चाहिए ।
अखण्ड रामायण पाठ खंडित नहीं होना चाहिए । यह पाठ सामान्यतः चौबीस घंटे में पूरा हो जाता है । इसके बाद हवन, आरती और भोजन किया जाता है। अखण्ड रामायण पाठ के दौरान सबसे अधिक महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि जब तक पाठ पूरा न हो जाय तब तक अनवरत पाठ चलना चाहिए । बीच में कोई रुकावट नहीं होना चाहिए । जहाँ पाठ चल रहा हो वहाँ अन्य कोई अशुद्ध बात किसी को नहीं करना चाहिए और न ही पाठ करने वालों को पाठ के अलावा इधर-उधर कुछ बीच में बोलना चाहिए।
