गुरु ग्रह धन और ज्ञान का प्रतीक है। बृहस्पति को देवगुरु का स्थान दिया गया है। ज्योतिष में गुरु को सबसे शुभ ग्रह माना गया है। इस कारण यदि कुंडली में गुरु शुभ स्थिति में है तो जातक धनवान के साथ साथ विद्वान भी होता है। बृहस्पति अपने याचक को मनोवांछित फल प्रदान करते है। ये जातक को सन्मार्ग पर चलाते है तथा उनकी रक्षा भी करते है।
