इस पूजा के महत्‍व

पार्थिव शिवलिंग पूजा विधि के अंतर्गत पार्थिव शिवलिंग का निर्माण किया जाता है तथा उनका विधिवत पूजन किया जाता है तथा पूजनोपरान्त उनको विसर्जित किया जाता है। भगवान शिव के पूजन से व्यक्ति को असीम ऊर्जा का अनुभव होता है। भगवान् शिव जी अत्यधिक प्रसन्न हो जाते हैं। भोलेनाथ की कृपा से भक्त काल के मुख से भी सुरक्षित निकल सकता है तथा किसी भी बड़े से बड़े संकट से बच सकता है। अतः यदि आप शिव जी की कृपा के पात्र बनना चाहते हैं तो पार्थिव शिवलिंग पूजन अवश्य करें। पार्थिव पूजन करने से पहले पार्थिव शिवलिंग बनाइए। इसको बनाने के लिए किसी पवित्र नदी या तालाब की मिट्टी लेंI फिर उस मिट्टी को पुष्प चंदन इत्यादि से शोधित करें। मिट्टी में दूध मिलाकर शोधन करें। फिर शिव मंत्र बोलते हुए उस मिट्टी से शिवलिंग बनाने की क्रिया शुरू करें। पूर्व या उत्तर दिशा की ओर मुंह रखकर शिवलिंग बनाना चाहिए। पार्थिव शिवलिंग का निर्माण मिट्टी, गाय का गोबर, गुड़, मक्खन और भस्म मिलाकर किया जाता है। शिवलिंग के निर्माण में इस बात का ध्यान रखें कि यह 12 अंगुल से ऊंचा नहीं हो। इससे अधिक ऊंचा होने पर पूजन का पुण्य प्राप्त नहीं होता है। मनोकामना पूर्ति के लिए शिवलिंग पर प्रसाद चढ़ाना चाहिए। इस बात का ध्यान रहे कि जो प्रसाद शिवलिंग से स्पर्श कर जाए, उसे ग्रहण न करें। पार्थिव शिवलिंग की पूजा से अकाल मृत्यु का भय समाप्त होता है।

शिवजी की अराधना के लिए पार्थिव पूजन सभी लोग कर सकते हैं, फिर चाहे वह पुरुष हो या फिर महिला।यह सभी जानते हैं कि शिव कल्याणकारी हैं। जो पार्थिव शिवलिंग बनाकर विधिवत पूजन अर्चना करता है, वह दस हजार कल्प तक स्वर्ग में निवास करता है। शिवपुराण में लिखा है कि पार्थिव पूजन सभी दुःखों को दूर करके सभी मनोकामनाएं पूर्ण करता है। यदि प्रति दिन पार्थिव पूजन किया जाए तो इस लोक तथा परलोक में भी अखण्ड शिव भक्ति मिलती है।पार्थिव शिवलिंग के सामने समस्त शिव मंत्रों का जाप किया जा सकता है।
