WHY YOU NEED THIS POOJA

Naamkaran Sanskar of newborn baby is a sacred tradition and one of the most important ceremonies out of total 16 ceremonies. It is the event, when the parents select their newborn baby’s name with the help of panditji on the basis of first letter of his moon sign as per horoscope. Close family members, relatives and friends, who join this ceremony to shower their blessings on the newborn baby for his/her well-being and good life.

Ideally, the naming ceremony is performed on 11th day after birth but it can be scheduled anytime after the tenth day, and before the baby’s first birthday.

This is the first Sanskar ritual performed immediately after the birth. Namkaran Sanskar brings positive changes in the life of child. The importance of the ceremony increases when it is started with the blessings of the Kul Devta along with the blessings of Goddesses, Gods and then from the elder people at the home.
